About
Lauren Kessler, a Chicago native, began her career in fashion while studying art and design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Syracuse University, and abroad at the London College of Fashion. She has interned in New York City for fashion designers Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Bibhu Mohapatra, and Alexander Wang. In addition, Lauren interned at The New York Times where she worked at T Magazine, The New York Times Style Magazine.
Lauren’s appreciation and interest in textiles and vintage fashion led her to create a unique line of accessories under the name of Lauren Nicole Accents. Drawing much of her inspiration from the 1960’s attitude of “anything goes” and “do your own thing”, Lauren aims to teach people to think for themselves and be creative when it comes to fashion. With this attitude in mind, her accessories enable self-expression and foster individuality.
“I encourage people to use fashion as a vehicle by which to express themselves and not merely for the sake of pleasing others. My line of accessories is wearable for any occasion, regardless of the season."
Edgy, alluring, and chic, Lauren's designs reflect her keen eye and natural insight for cutting edge fashion. She gives accessories a new meaning by pushing the boundaries with her innovative designs and distinct aesthetic vision. Each piece in her line is handmade using top quality fabrics accented with crystal, bead, and metal embellishments. While her line of accessories expands, Lauren’s philosophy of celebrating the confident, carefree, stylish woman remains a constant.
